أبو الفتوح محمد بن محمد، بن محمد السمرقندي الأصل، البغدادي المولد والدار، ببغداد، ودفن من يومه بالخيزرانية عند مشهد الإمام أبي حنيفة –﵁. ومولده سنة إحدى وأربعين وخمس مئة. تفقه ببغداد على مذهب الإمام أبي حنيفة –﵁ وسمع بها من أبي الفتح محمد بن عبد الباقي بن أحمد، وغيره. وحدث. ووالده كان أحد فقهاء الحنفية، قدم بغداد من سمرقند وسكنها.١٩٧٤ - وفي الرابع من شهر ربيع الآخر توفي الشيخ الصالح
