أبو أحمد محمد بن عبد الرشيد بن علي بن بنيمان بن مكي، الهمذاني المقرئ الحداد التاجر، سبط الحافظ أبي العلاء الهمذاني، بأقسرا –من بلاد الروم-. سمع بهمذان من أبي الخير محمد بن أحمد الباغبان، ومن جده الحافظ أبي العلاء الحسن بن أحمد، وغيرهما. وحدث ببغداد، ولنا منه إجازة، كتب بها إلينا من بغداد. ويقال: إن الحافظ أبا العلاء أحضر الباغبان من أصبهان إلى همذان لأجل أبي أحمد هذا، وقد قرأ على الباغبان أكثر مسموعاته وسمعها أبو أحمد هذا. وأمه أم العلاء فاطمة ابنة الحافظ أبي العلاء.١٩٧٠ - وفي التاسع والعشرين من صفر توفي القاضي الأجل
