أبو الحسن علي بن المكرم بن هبة الله بن مكرم بن عبد الله، البغدادي الصوفي، بنصيبين، وقيل: بدنيسر. سمع من أبي الفتح عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن شاتيل، وأبي القاسم يحيى بن أسعد ابن بوش، وغيرهما. وحدث بإربل، ونصيبين، وغيرهما. ومولده في الحادي عشر من ذي الحجة سنة اثنتين وسبعين وخمس مئة. ومكرم بفتح الكاف وفتح الراء وتشديدها، فيهما معا.١٩٣٩ - وفي ليلة العاشر من شهر رمضان توفي الشيخ
