أبو محمد شيبان بن تغلب بن حيدرة بن سيف بن طراد بن عقيل بن وثاب بن شيبان، الشيباني المقدسي الجبلي المؤدب الحنبلي المعلم، بجبل قاسيون، ودفن من يومه بالجبل. ومولده بدمشق سنة ثلاث أو أربع وخمسين وخمس مئة. سمع من أبي الفرج يحيى بن محمود الثقفي، وحدث عنه. وحدث بشيء من شعره. وكان كثير التلاوة للقرآن. ولنا منه إجازة، كتب بها إلينا من دمشق في شهر ربيع الأول سنة سبع عشرة وست مئة. وتغلب: بالتاء ثالث الحروف وغين معجمة.١٩٣٥ - وفي العاشر من رجب توفي الفقيه الإمام
