أبو الفتح المظفر بن أبي نصر عبد الله بن الحسين بن جهير بن محمد بن جهير، البغدادي، بها، ودفن من يومه، بقراح ابن رزين في تربة جده. ومولده في الثالث عشر من شهر ربيع الآخر، سنة تسع وأربعين وخمس مئة. حدث بالإجازة عن أبي الوقت عبد الأول بن عيسى السجزي. وهو من بيت الحديث والتقدم، ولي منهم الوزارة غير واحد. وأخوه أبو القاسم جهير بن عبد الله سمع من غير واحد، وحدث.١٨٤٤ - وفي ليلة الخامس عشر من شوال توفي الشيخ الفقيه
