أبو القاسم هبة الله بن أبي فراس حمد بن أبي الزاكي بركات بن حمد بن الحسين بن سعدان ابن الزجاج، السلمي الحراني الأصل، البغدادي المولد، المؤدب، بحران، ودفن بتربة قريش. سمع من أبي بكر عبد الله بن محمد ابن النقور، وغيره. وحدث. ومولده في سنة ثمان وأربعين وخمس مئة. ويقال: كان في أجداده من العرب من كان يزج نفسه في الحرب فلقب زجاجا. وفي الرواة: الزجاج، منسوب إلى عمل الزجاج.١٧٨٠ - وفي هذه السنة أيضا توفي الشيخ الفقيه
