أبو العباس أحمد بن سلمان بن أبي بكر بن سلامة البغدادي الحريمي المستعمل المعروف بابن الأصفر، بالموصل ودفن بها. ومولده في يوم عاشوراء سنة خمس وثلاثين وخمس مئة. سمع ببغداد من أبي بكر أحمد بن علي ابن الأشقر الدلال، والزاهد أبي العباس أحمد بن أبي غالب ابن الطلاية، وأبي القاسم سعيد بن أحمد ابن البناء. وحدث ببغداد، والموصل، ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا في مستهل جمادى الآخرة سنة أربع عشرة وست مئة.١٧١٧ - وفي السابع والعشرين من ذي الحجة أحضر القاضي الأجل
