أبو شجاع محمد بن أحمد بن علي بن محمد العنبري الواسطي الشاعر المعروف بابن دواس القنا، بواسط. ومولده سنة أربع وخمسين وخمس مئة. قرأ الأدب ببغداد على جماعة منهم: أبو البركات عبد الرحمان بن محمد الأنباري، وأبو الحسن علي بن عبد الرحيم السلمي، وأبو الفرج محمد بن الحسين ابن الدباغ وغيرهم. وانقطع إلى الشيخ أبي الخير مصدق بن شبيب وأخذ عنه جملة من كتب الأدب. وحدث بواسط، وبغداد بشيء من شعره، وكان شعره حسنا. ويقال: كان اسمه مقاتل فغيره.١٦٩٣ - وفي شعبان توفي الشيخ الأجل الفقيه الزاهد
