أبو الشكر محمود بن شعبان بن محمد البغدادي المقرئ الكتاني، ببغداد، ودفن بمقبرة عبد الدائم. قرأ القرآن الكريم بالروايات. وسمع من أبي الفرج عبد المنعم بن عبد الوهاب بن كليب، وأبي أحمد عبد الوهاب بن علي بن علي، وأبي محمد عبد العزيز بن محمود بن الأخضر الحافظ وخلق كثير. وحدث، وأقرأ، وكان حسن الأداء. والكتاني: بفتح الكاف وبعدها تاء ثالث الحروف وبعد الألف نون.١٦٥٤ - وفي الثامن من صفر توفي
