أبو الفضل عبد الرحمان بن سعد الله بن المبارك بن بركة الواسطي الوكيل البغدادي المولد والدار الطحان الدقاق، ببغداد، ودفن بباب حرب. ومولده ببغداد في شعبان (سنة) خمس وثلاثين وخمس مئة. ⦗٤٢٣⦘ سمع من الحافظ أبي الفضل محمد بن ناصر السلامي، وأبي المحاسن عبد الملك بن علي الهمذاني وغيرهما. وأجاز له جماعة منهم: الحافظون أبو القاسم إسماعيل بن أحمد ابن السمرقندي وأبو البركات عبد الوهاب بن المبارك الأنماطي، وأبو منصور محمد بن عبد الملك بن خيرون وغيرهم. وحدث.١٥٨٣ - وفي الرابع من شهر ربيع الأول توفي الشيخ
