أبو المظفر المبارك بن أحمد بن هبة الله الهاشمي البغدادي الخطيب المعروف بابن المكشوط، ودفن من الغد. ومولده سنة أربعين وخمس مئة بين العيدين. قرأ القرآن الكريم بالقراءات على أبي بكر محمد بن خالد الرزاز الضرير وغيره. وسمع من أبي المسك عنبر بن عبد الله مولى القاضي أبي محمد العلوي المعروف بالمنقذي، وحدث عنه. وذكر أنه سمع من أبي الوقت عبد الأول بن عيسى السجزي ولم يوجد شيء من سماعه منه. وتولى الخطابة بجامع المنصور مدة وبغيره من الجوامع في الجانب الغربي.١٥٥٦ - وفي السادس من شوال توفي الشيخ الأجل الفاضل
