أبو الحسن علي بن مكي بن الحسن بن علي الاسكندراني المنعوت بالأشرف. سمع من الحافظ أبي طاهر أحمد بن محمد الأصبهاني وغيره. وحدث، ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من ثغر الاسكندرية -حماه الله تعالى- وكان أحد العدول بالثغر المحروس، ومن أهل الدين والصلاح، معروف بصحبة الزهاد.١٤٣٨ - وفي النصف من ذي القعدة توفي الشيخ الأجل الصالح
