أبو الفرج إبراهيم بن يوسف بن محمد المقرئ المعروف بابن البوني بدمشق. سمع من الحافظ أبي القاسم علي بن الحسن الدمشقي وغيره. وكان إمام الحنفية بدمشق. وهو منسوب إلى بونة مدينة بساحل إفريقية وإليها ينسب الفقيه أبو عبد الملك مروان بن محمد البوني صاحب (شرح كتاب الموطأ) وهو أندلسي أقام ببونة فنسب إليها، وهي بضم الباء الموحدة وسكون الواو وفتح النون وبعدها تاء تأنيث. وفي الرواة: بوني منسوب إلى الجد وهو أبو العباس الوليد بن أبان بن بونة البوني الأصبهاني: حافظ صنف (التفسير) و (المسند) وغير ذلك.١٤٣٣ - وفي الخامس والعشرين من شوال توفي الشيخ
