أبو الفضل عبد المجيد بن الحسن بن الحسين بن العلاء النهاوندي البغدادي المولد والدار، ودفن من الغد. ومولده في الرابع من شهر رمضان سنة إحدى وثلاثين وخمس مئة. سمع من أبي البدر إبراهيم بن محمد بن منصور، وأبي القاسم علي بن عبد السيد ابن الصباغ، وأبي غالب محمد بن علي ابن الداية وغيرهم. وحدث. ووالده سمع منه الحافظ أبو القاسم مكي بن عبد السلام الرميلي، وقال: مولده بالدينور ومنشؤه ببغداد، وكانوا يكتبون له في السماع الحسن بن الحسين النهاوندي.١٤٢٥ - وفي الرابع عشر من شهر رمضان توفي الشيخ الأجل
