أبو حفص عمر بن يوسف بن محمد بن نيروز بن عبد الجبار البغدادي المقرئ، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بمقبرة معروف الكرخي ﵁. ومولده في سنة إحدى وأربعين وخمس مئة. قرأ القرآن الكريم بالقراءات الكثيرة على أبي الحسن علي بن عساكر البطائحي، وغيره، وسمع من أبي الفتح محمد بن عبد الباقي بن أحمد، وأبي القاسم يحيى بن ثابت بن بندار وغيرهما من البغداديين والأصبهانيين. وحدث. ويعرف بصاحب ابن الشعار لأنه ختن الشيخ أبي المجد محمود بن نصر ابن الشعار.١٣٣٩ - وفي الثامن عشر من جمادى الأولى توفي الشيخ الفقيه
