أبو يعلى حمزة بن إبراهيم بن عبد الله الجوهري الخياط، بالمزة ظاهر دمشق، ودفن من يومه بجبل قاسيون. حدث عن أبي يعلى حمزة بن أحمد بن فارس بن كروس السلمي، والحافظ أبي القاسم علي بن الحسن بن هبة الله الشافعي. والمزة: بكسر الميم وتشديد الزاي وفتحها وتاء تأنيث: قرية قريبة من دمشق، حدث من أهلها غير واحد من المتأخرين.١٣٣٦ - وفي الثالث والعشرين من شهر ربيع الأول توفي الشيخ الصالح
