أبو منصور الفضل بن عمر بن منصور البغدادي الأزجي الكاتب المعروف بابن الرائض، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بباب حرب. ومولده سنة اثنتين وخمسين وخمس مئة. قرأ القرآن الكريم بالقراءات العشر على الشيخ أبي الحسن علي بن عساكر بن المرحب البطائحي وسمع منه، ومن أبي أحمد الأسعد بن يلدرك بن أبي اللقاء الجبريلي، وفخر النساء خديجة بنت أبي عبد الله بن الحسن النهرواني وغيرهم. وحدث. وكان خطه في غاية الجودة على طريقة ابن البواب.١٢٤٩ - وفي سلخ جمادى الآخرة، توفي الشيخ الأجل
