أبو القاسم عمر بن مسعود بن أبي العز البغدادي البزاز، ببغداد، ودفن من يومه برباطه بالجانب الغربي. صحب الشيخ أبا محمد عبد القادر بن أبي صالح الجيلي، وسمع من أبوي الفضل: ظفر بن عمر الفقيه، ومحمد بن ناصر الحافظ وأبي القاسم سعيد بن أحمد ابن البناء. ⦗٢٣٢⦘ وأبي الوقت عبد الأول بن عيسى. وحدث. وكان يؤثر الفقراء، وبنى بنفسه رباطا. وله قبول عند الناس، يغشى ويزار، موصوف بالزهد والعبادة وحسن الطريقة. وسئل عن مولده فذكر ما يدل على أنه في سنة اثنتين وثلاثين وخمس مئة.١٢١١ - وفي ليلة العشرين من شهر رمضان توفي الشيخ
