أبو عبد الله محمد بن عثمان بن محمد بن يحيى بن مسلم الزبيدي، بجزيرة قيس التي تسمى كيش، ودفن بها. تفقه ببغداد على الإمام أبي القاسم يحيى بن علي بن فضلان وسمع بها من أبي الفتح محمد بن عبد الباقي بن أحمد بن سلمان، وفخر النساء شهدة بنت الإبري وغيرهما. وصحب جماعة من الصوفية. وجده محمد من أهل زبيد البلد المشهور باليمن، قدم بغداد وسكنها إلى حين وفاته، وعقبه بها. وقد حدث منهم غير واحد نذكر منهم من هو من شرطنا -إن شاء الله تعالى-.١٢٠٧ - وفي آخر شعبان توفي الشيخ الصالح
