أبو الحسن علي بن أبي الأزهر الأجمي المقرئ، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بمشهد الإمام موسى بن جعفر ﵉. وكان مشهورا بسرعة القراءة: ذكر عنه أنه قرأ على الشيخ أبي شجاع بن المقرون في يوم الخميس الثامن من رجب سنة ثمان وخمسين وخمس مئة من طلوع الشمس إلى غروبها القرآن الكريم ثلاث مرات وقرأ في المرة الرابعة إلى آخر سورة الطور بمشهد من جماعة من القراء وغيرهم، ولم يخف شيئا من قراءته ولا فتر. وذكر أنه سمع شيئا من الحديث. وهو منسوب إلى المحلة المعروفة بالأجمة.١١٦٧ - وفي ليلة التاسع عشر من شهر رمضان توفي الشيخ
