أبو الحسن علي بن رشيد بن أحمد بن محمد العدل الحربوي ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بباب حرب وقد زاد على الستين. ومولده بحربا، ونشأ بها، ودخل بغداد، وسمع بها من أبي القاسم نصر بن نصر العكبري، وأبي الوقت عبد الأول بن عيسى، وأبي المظفر هبة الله بن أحمد بن محمد ابن الشبلي. وقرأ شيئا من الأدب. وحدث، وتولى وكالة الديوان العزيز مدة وكان دينا حسن الطريقة حميد السيرة. وأبوه رشيد: بفتح الراء المهملة وكسر الشين المعجمة. والحربوي: بفتح الحاء وسكون الراء المهملتين وفتح الباء الموحدة وكسر الواو نسبة إلى حربا، قرية من أعمال دجيل بالعراق مما يلي طريق الموصل.١٠٧٥ - وفي ليلة الحادي والعشرين من ذي القعدة توفي الشيخ
