أبو المحاسن عبد اللطيف ابن القاضي الفقيه أبي الفتح نصر الله بن علي بن منصور بن علي بن الحسين الواسطي الحنفي المعروف بابن الكيال، بواسط. ومولده يوم عاشوراء سنة أربعين وخمس مئة. تفقه على مذهب الإمام أبي حنيفة-﵁ على والده وعلى غيره. ودرس بعد والده في مدرسة للحنفية بواسط. وقدم بغداد وتولى التدريس بمشهد الإمام أبي حنيفة ﵁ ورجع إلى واسط وتولى القضاء بها. ووالده القاضي أبو الفتح نصر الله شيخ فاضل ولي القضاء بالبصرة وواسط، وأقرأ وحدث، ودرس، وقد تقدم ذكره.١٠٦٩ - وفي الثاني والعشرين من شعبان توفي الشيخ
