أبو الحسين محمد بن بقاء بن الحسن بن صالح بن يوسف البرسفي المقرئ الضرير، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بالوردية. ومولده ببرسف سنة ثمان وعشرين وخمس مئة. ذكر أنه قرأ القرآن الكريم بشيء من القراءات على الشيخ أبي محمد عبد الله بن علي سبط الشيخ أبي منصور الخياط. وسمع من أبي القاسم علي بن عبد السيد ابن الصباغ، وأبي الفضل محمد بن ناصر الحافظ، وأبي الوقت عبد الأول بن عيسى، وغيرهم. وحدث. وبرسف: بضم الباء الموحدة وسكون الراء المهملة وكسر السين المهملة وبعدها فاء: قرية من سواد بغداد مما يلي طريق خراسان. ⦗١٥٣⦘ ويقال كانت وفاته في جمادى الآخرة.١٠٥٨ - في التاسع والعشرين من جمادى الأولى توفي الشيخ
