أبو الفضل عبد الواحد بن عبد السلام بن سلطان البغدادي الأزجي العدل البيع، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بباب حرب. ومولده في المحرم سنة إحدى وعشرين وخمس مئة. قرأ القرآن الكريم بالقراءات على جماعة منهم: أبو محمد عبد الله بن علي المقرئ وأبي الكرم المبارك بن الحسن ابن الشهرزوري وغيرهما، وسمع منهما، ومن أبوي الفضل: الأرموي وابن ناصر، وغيرهم. وأقرأ، وحدث سنين، ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها (إلينا من بغداد في شهر ربيع الآخر سنة ست وتسعين وخمس مئة)، وكان الثناء عليه جميلا.١٠٠٧ - وفي ليلة العاشر من شهر ربيع الأول توفي القاضي الأجل
