أبو طالب صالح بن علي بن النفيس بن علي بن محمد بن محمد ابن الأخضر الأنباري العدل المعروف بابن الخطيب، بالموصل. ومولده بالحلة المزيدية يوم عيد الفطر سنة اثنتين وثلاثين وخمس مئة. ويقال: في سنة إحدى وثلاثين. سمع بالأنبار من عم أبيه أبي نصر يحيى بن علي بن محمد. وحدث ببغداد. وهو من بيت الحديث، وأحد العدول بالأنبار.٩٧٧ - وفي ليلة الثاني والعشرين من شهر رمضان توفي الشيخ الأجل
