أبو عمرو عثمان بن عيسى بن درباس بن فير بن جهم بن عبدوس الماراني الشافعي المنعوت بالضياء، بالقاهرة، ودفن بسفح المقطم. تفقه على مذهب الإمام الشافعي ﵁ وحصل منه جملة صالحة. وسمع من أبي الجيوش عساكر بن علي المقرئ. وشرح كتاب (المهذب) للإمام أبي إسحاق الشيرازي وسماه (الاستقصاء)، وشرح أيضا كتاب (اللمع) للإمام أبي إسحاق الشيرازي (أيضا)، وغير ذلك. وحدث بشيء من تصانيفه. وناب في الحكم العزيز بالقاهرة عن أخيه قاضي القضاة صدر الدين أبي القاسم عبد الملك ودرس في الموضع المنسوب إلى الأمير خشترين الكردي بالقصر.٩٣٦ - وفي السابع عشر من ذي القعدة توفي الفقيه الأجل
