أبو الحسن علي بن عقيل بن علي بن هبة الله بن الحسن بن علي الثعلبي الدمشقي العدل المعروف بابن الحبوبي، بدمشق، ودفن من الغد بباب الصغير. ومولده سنة سبع وثلاثين وخمس مئة. سمع من أبي المكارم عبد الواحد بن محمد بن المسلم بن هلال. وعقيل: بفتح العين وكسر القاف. والثعلبي: بفتح الثاء المثلثة وسكون العين المهملة. والحبوبي: بضم الحاء (المهملة) وبعدها باء مضمومة موحدة وبعد الواو الساكنة باء موحدة أيضا.٨٩٨ - وفي رجب توفي الشيخ
