أبو سالم يحيى بن علي بن أبي الحسن الواسطي الواعظ المعروف والده بالزاهد، بالموصل. ومولده سنة تسع وعشرين وخمس مئة. صحب بحماة الشيخ الفاضل أبا عبد الله محمد بن ظفر ابن المغربي، وقرأ عليه وتزوج ابنته، وعاد إلى واسط. ووعظ، وحدث ببغداد بأناشيد.٨٥٨ - وفي هذه السنة أيضا توفي الشيخ الصالح
