أبو الفتوح مسعود بن أبي القاسم عبد الله بن عبد الكريم بن غيث البغدادي الدقاق، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بمقبرة جامع المنصور. ومولده في الحادي عشر من المحرم سنة أربع عشرة وخمس مئة. سمع من أبي السعود أحمد بن علي بن المجلي، وأبي الحسن علي بن عبيد الله ابن الزاغوني، وأبي غالب أحمد بن محمد بن قريش، وأبوي القاسم: هبة الله بن أحمد الحريري وإسماعيل بن أحمد ابن السمرقندي، وغيرهم. ⦗٤٥٥⦘ وحدث. ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من بغداد سنة ثلاث وتسعين وخمس مئة. وغيث: بفتح الغين المعجمة وبعد الياء آخر الحروف ثاء مثلثة.٧٢٥ - وفي الثالث من جمادى الأولى توفي الشيخ
