أبو علي الحسن بن إبراهيم بن منصور بن الحسين بن علي (بن) قحطبة الفرغاني الأصل البغدادي المولد والدار الصوفي المعروف بابن أشنانة، ببغداد، ودفن من يومه. ومولده في صفر سنة إحدى عشرة وخمس مئة. سمع من أبي القاسم هبة الله بن محمد بن الحصين، وأبي محمد الحسن بن أحمد ابن حكينا، وغيرهم. ⦗٤٤٧⦘ وحدث، ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من بغداد في ذي الحجة سنة ثلاث وتسعين وخمس مئة.٧١٠ - وفي الرابع والعشرين من صفر توفي الفقيه الإمام
