أبو المعالي نصر الله بن سلامة بن سالم الهيتي المقرئ المعروف بابن حبن، بهيت، وقيل: إن وفاته كانت بالموصل. سمع ببغداد من أبوي الفضل: محمد بن عمر الفقيه ومحمد بن ناصر الحافظ وأبي بكر محمد بن عبيد الله ابن الزاغوني، وأبي الكرم المبارك بن الحسن ابن الشهرزوري، وأبي الفتح عبد الملك بن أبي القاسم الكروخي، وغيرهم. وحدث ببغداد، والموصل، وهو من هيت البلد التي على الفرات فوق الأنبار. وهيت أيضا: قريتان من أعمال زرع، حدث من أهل إحداهما غير واحد من المتأخرين. وهيت أيضا في اليمامة. وحبن: بفتح الحاء المهملة والباء الموحدة المفتوحة وبعدها نون.٦٦٩ - وفي ليلة الثالث من شعبان توفي الشيخ الأجل
