أبو الحسن محمد بن أبي القاسم علي بن إبراهيم بن محمد بن عبد الله البغدادي الكاتب، ببغداد، ودفن من يومه بمقبرة الشونيزي. ومولده سنة ثلاث وعشرين وخمس مئة. سمع من القاضي أبي بكر محمد بن عبد الباقي، وأبي القاسم إسماعيل ابن السمرقندي، وأبي عبد الله يحيى بن الحسن ابن البناء، وأبي محمد يحيى بن علي ابن الطراح، وغيرهم. وحدث. وكان فيه تميز، وولي معاملة أوانا، والكتابة بها مدة.٥٩٧ - وفي الثامن والعشرين من جمادى الآخرة توفي الشيخ
