أبو محمد صدقة بن أبي القاسم نصر بن زهير بن المقلد الحراني الأصل البغدادي المولد والدار، ببغداد، ودفن من يومه بباب حرب. ومولده في سابع عشر شوال سنة أربع عشرة وخمس مئة. سمع من الحافظ أبي نصر الحسن بن محمد الأصبهاني اليونارتي ببغداد. وانقطع في منزله قبل موته بمدة. ووالده نصر بن زهير أحد العدول بمدينة السلام وأحد خدم الإمام المسترشد بالله –﵁.٥٣٢ - وفي الحادي والعشرين من جمادى الأولى توفي الفقيه الإمام
