أبو الحسين أحمد بن حيوس بن رافع بن المتوج بن منصور بن فتيح الغنوي العدل، بدمشق، ودفن من الغد. ومولده في الثامن من المحرم سنة إحدى وعشرين وخمس مئة. وكان اسمه قديما عبد الله. سمع من أبي الفتح نصر الله محمد المصيصي، وأبي محمد هبة الله بن أحمد بن طاووس. وأجاز لي إجازة مطلقة في رجب سنة خمس وتسعين وخمس مئة. ⦗٣٣٧⦘ وحيوس: بفتح الحاء المهملة وتشديد الياء آخر الحروف وضمها وبعد الواو الساكنة سين مهملة.٥٠٥ - وفي العشر الوسط من ذي القعدة توفي الشيخ
