أبو الفتح عثمان ابن الملك الناصر صلاح الدين أبي المظفر يوسف ابن الأجل والد الملوك أبي الشكر أيوب بن شاذ، بالقاهرة، ودفن من الغد بجوار الإمام الشافعي معه في التربة. وكان خرج إلى الفيوم يتصيد فوقع عن فرسه فلحقته حمى فأتي به إلى القاهرة فتوفي بها. سمع بالاسكندرية من الحافظ أبي طاهر أحمد بن محمد الأصبهاني، والفقيه أبي الطاهر إسماعيل بن مكي بن عوف الزهري. وسمع بمصر من العلامة أبي محمد عبد الله بن بري النحوي. وبلغنا أنه حدث بثغر الإسكندرية.٤٦٨ - وفي صفر توفي الشريف الأجل
