أبو الخليل أحمد بن أسعد بن وهب بن علي المقرئ البغدادي المولد الهروي الدار، ببغداد. قرأ القرآن الكريم ببغداد على غير واحد. وسمع بها من خلف بن أحمد الحظيري، وأبي محمد صالح بن المبارك بن محمد المعروف بابن الرخلة، وخديجة بنت أحمد بن الحسن النهرواني. وسمع بهراة من أبي الفتح نصر بن سيار، وغيره. وصحب ⦗٢٨٧⦘ الشيخ أبا محمد عبد القادر بن أبي صالح الجيلي. والرخلة: بكسر الراء المهملة وسكون الخاء المعجمة وبعد اللام تاء تأنيث. وصالح هذا آخر من حدث ببغداد عن أبي عبد الله الحسين بن أحمد بن طلحة من الرجال.٣٩٩ - وفي ليلة الخامس، أو الرابع، والعشرين من شعبان توفي الشيخ
