أبو عبد الله محمد بن الحسن بن محمد بن زرقان الشافعي، بخلاط أو ما يقاربها. تفقه على الفقيه أبي الحسن محمد بن المبارك ابن الخل وسمع منه، ومن أبي الوقت السجزي وغيرهما، وأعاد للشيخ أبي طالب المبارك بن المبارك الكرخي. وشهد عند قاضي القضاة أبي طالب علي بن علي ابن البخاري، وناب عنه في الحكم.٢٥٧ - وفي هذه السنة أيضا توفي الشيخ الأجل
