أبو عبد الله محمد بن أحمد بن علي بن محمد الأصبهاني الجورتاني الأديب الحمامي المعروف بالمصلح ومولده في رجب سنة خمس مئة. سمع بأصبهان من أبي علي الحسن بن أحمد الحداد، وأبي الفرج سعيد بن أبي الرجاء الصيرفي، وأبي نهشل عبد الصمد بن أحمد بن الفضل العنبري. وحدث ببغداد، وأصبهان. وسمع منه أبو المحاسن الدمشقي ومات قبله بخمس عشرة سنة. وجورتان: بضم الجيم وسكون الواو والراء المهملة وفتح التاء ثالث الحروف وبعد ⦗٢٠٥⦘ الألف نون، وظني أنها من نواحي أصبهان.٢٣١ - وفي ليلة الثاني عشر من شهر ربيع الآخر توفي الشيخ
