أبو الفتح المبارك بن أبي بكر أحمد بن أبي العز المقرئ البغدادي بها، ودفن من الغد بباب حرب ويعرف بابن الديك وبابن غلام الديك. ومولده في رجب سنة اثنتي عشرة وخمس مئة. سمع من أبوي القاسم: ابن الحصين وابن الطبر، وأبي الحسن محمد بن الحسين الفراء، والقاضي أبي بكر الأنصاري، وأبي السعود أحمد بن محمد ابن المجلي وغيرهم. وحدث. سمع منه الحافظ أبو المحاسن عمر بن علي ومات قبله بأربع عشرة سنة.١٨٦ - وفي المحرم توفي الشيخ الفاضل
