أبو العباس أحمد بن سالم بن محمد بن إبراهيم بن علي، مكلتوية المقرئ البرجوني، بها، وهي قرية من شرقي واسط، ودفن بقرب سعيد بن جبير. ومولده سنة سبع وتسعين وأربع مئة. سمع من الإمام أبي علي الحسن بن إبراهيم الفارقي. حدثنا عنه أبو الحسن علي بن المبارك البرجوني بدمشق، وقال لنا: وهو أول شيخ لقيته، وقرأت عليه القرآن، وهو الذي لقنني إياه أجمع. وكان من خيار الناس –﵀.١٤١ - وفي الثالث عشر من جمادى الأولى توفي القاضي الفقيه
