أبو السعادات محمد بن أبي سعد المبارك بن محمد بن الحسين السلمي، الجبي، بالجبة، ودفن بها. سمع الكثير من أبي الفتح عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن شاتيل، وأبي السعادات نصر الله بن عبد الرحمان بن زريق، وأبي محمد يوسف بن الحسن العاقولي وغيرهم. وانقطع إلى الحافظ أبي بكر محمد بن موسى الحازمي مدة، وقرأ عليه وكتب تصانيفه. وحدث. والجبة: بضم الجيم وفتح الباء الموحدة وتشديدها وآخرها تاء تأنيث قرية من قرى بغداد من نواحي طريق خراسان، وكان والده أبو سعد المبارك شيخها وعالمها وزاهدها وقد حدث أيضا.٩٧ - وفي هذه السنة توفي الشيخ
