أبو المنصور ظافر بن عساكر بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن عيسى بن صدقة الأنصاري الخزرجي المالكي، بمصر. وكان مولده بها سنة عشرين وخمس مئة. سمع من أبي العباس أحمد بن عبد الله بن الحطيئة، وأبي عبد الله محمد بن إبراهيم المقرئ الكيزاني. وله شعر، كتبنا منه شيئا. وهو والد صاحبنا أبي اليمن بركات بن ظافر.٥٩ - وفي الرابع عشر من شوال أيضا توفي الشيخ الأجل
