    ٤٤٤٣ - محمّد بن سعد صاحب الواقدىّ وهو مولى الحسين بن عبد الله بن عُبيد الله بن العبّاس بن عبد المطّلب الهاشميّ، وتوفّى ببغداد يوم الأحد لأربع خلون من جمادى الآخرة سنة ثلاثين ومائتين ودفن في مقبرة باب الشأم وهو ابن اثنتين وستّين سنة، وهو الذى ألّف هذا الكتابَ كتابَ الطبقات واستخرجه وصنّفه ورُوِى عنه، وكان كثير العلم كثير الحديث والرواية كثير الكتب كُتب الحديث وغيره من كتب الغريب والفقه (¬٢). * * *
