    [٥٨] زيد بن عبثر الزبيدي: يروي عن: النبي ﷺ، ولا تثبت له صحبة. روى عنه: عبد الله بن ربيعة القيسي. أخرج الإسماعيلي في معجم الصحابة، ومن طريقه الخطيب فيالمتفق والمفترق (٣/ ١٤٣٣ - ١٤٣٤ رقم ٧٣٤)؛ من طريق علي بن قرين، عن قيس بن الحارث اليمامي، عن عبد الله بن ربيعة القيسي، عن زيد بن عبثر الزبيدي، قال: "سألت النبي ﷺ عن البئر يكون بظهر الطريق، فيريد الرجل بحفر إلى جنبها الرُّكَيّ الأخرى، كم حريم ما بينهما؟ قال: أربعون ذراعًا". ذكره الخطيب في ترجمة عبد الله بن ربيعة القيسي، ثم قال: "حدث عن زيد بن عبثر، روى عنه قيس بن الحارث، وثلاثتهم مجهولون. ولم يجيء حديثهم إلا من طريق علي بن قرين، وكان غير ثقة".
