    ٦٣٠ - [يزيد بن القعقاع] (٣) يزيد بن القعقاع الزاهد العابد مولى عبد الله بن عياش بن أبي ربيعة-وقيل: مولى أم سلمة-قارئ المدينة، يكنى: أبا جعفر.أخذ عن أبي هريرة، وابن عباس، وسمع عبد الله بن عمر، ويقال: إنه قرأ على زيد بن ثابت. وقرأ عليه نافع المقرئ المشهور، وسليمان بن مسلم، وله ذكر في «سنن أبي داود» (١) وهو أحد القراء العشرة. توفي سنة تسع وعشرين ومائة، وقيل: في التي بعدها، وقيل: في التي قبلها، وقيل: في سنة اثنتين وثلاثين ومائة.
