    ١٢٢٠ - عَمرو بن المسيح ابن كعب بن طَريف بن عَصَر بن غَنْم بن حارثة بن ثُوَب بن معن بن عَتود بن عنين بن سلامان بن ثُعَل بن عَمْرو بن الغَوْث بن طَيِّئ، كان أرمى العرب، وله يقول امرؤ القيس بن حجر الشاعر: رُبَّ رَامٍ مِنْ بَنِي ثُعَلٍ … مُخْرِجٌ كَفَّيْه مِنْ سُتَرِهْ (¬٣) وقال وبرة بن جحدَر المعنى من بني دَغْش: زَعَبَ الغرابُ ولَيْتَه لَمْ يَزْعَب … بالبَيْن من سَلمى وأُمِّ الحَوْشَبِ ليتَ الغرابَ رَمَى حَمَاطَةَ قَلْبِه … عَمْرُو بأسهُمِه التي لم تَلْغَبِوعاش عمرو بن المسيح خمسين ومائة سنة (¬١)، ثم أدرك رسول الله، ﷺ، ووفد إليه وأسلم. * * *
