٩٠٥ - الحارث بن عُمَيْر الأَزْدِيّ ثمّ أحد بني (¬٣) لِهْب قال: أخبرنا محمد بن عمر قال: حدّثني ربيعة بن عثمان، عن عمر بنالحَكَم قال: بعث رسول الله، ﷺ، الحارث بن عمير الأزديّ إلى ملك بُصْرى بكتابه، فلمّا نزل مُؤْتَة عرض له شرحبيل بن عمرو الغَسّاني فقال: أين تريد؟ قال: الشأم، قال: لعلّك من رُسُل محمد؟ قال: نعم أنا رسولُ رسولِ الله، ﷺ. فأمر به فأُوثقَ رِباطًا ثمّ قدّمه فضرَب عنقه صَبْرًا، ولم يُقْتَل لرسول الله، ﷺ، رسول غيره. وبلَغ رسول الله، ﷺ، الخبر فاشتدّ عليه ونَدَب الناس وأخبرهم بمقتل الحارث بن عمير ومَن قتله، فأسرعوا فكان ذلك سبب خروجهم إلى غزوة مُؤتَةَ (¬١). * * *
