يونس بن أحمد ابن أبي الجن، ينتهي نسبه الى الحسين بن علي ﵄. كان كبير الأشراف بدمشق، يدعى ناصر الدين. توفي - رحمه الله تعالى - سنة ست وعشرين وسبع مئة. سمع من خطيب مردا، وروى عنه. وقصده الطلبة، وسمعوا عليه لشرفه ونسبه. وكان جيداً متودداً، له شهرة بين الناس.
