يوسف بن أبي نصر ابن الشقاري، الأمير المسند عماد الدين أبو الحجاج الدمشقي.سمع الصحيح من ابن الزبيدي، وابن الصلاح، والناصح بن الحنبلي، والفخر الإربلي، والرشيد بن الهادي، والسخاوي. وولي إمرة الحاج مرات عديدة، وأنفق في ذلك وفي وجوه البر أموالاً كثيرة. وكان سليم الباطن وقف بالنّيرب تربة مليحة بقبّة، وخانقاه ومسجداً، ووقف على ذلك أماكن. وحدّث بالصحيح غير مرة، وقرأ عليه شيخنا الذهبي الصحيح في عشرة أيام. وتوفي - رحمه الله تعالى - في شهر ربيع الآخر سنة تسع وتسعين وست مئة. ومولده سنة عشر وست مئة.
