يوسف بن محمد بن عثمان السيف، الناسخ، الدلال على الكتب بجسر اللبّادين بدمشق. أصله من سرخس، رأيته غير مرة ينادي على الكتب، وينسخ، وهو شيخ قد أنقى.وكان رزيّ الحال. كتب كثيراً من الدواوين المتأخرة، خصوصاً ديوان ابن قزل المشدّ وديوان ابن محاسن الشوّاء. وكان يقول: أنا قبّلت قُبلة بألف درهم، يفتخر بذلك. توفي - رحمه الله تعالى - سنة إحدى وعشرين وسبع مئة.
